On July 22, 2008, SemGroup, L.P. and certain of its affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively the “Debtors”) filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (the “Court”). The Debtors’ cases were jointly administered under case number 08-11525.
On August 1, 2008, the Office of the United States Trustee for the District of Delaware appointed a committee of unsecured creditors, and later, an official committee of oil and gas producers.
On October 28, 2009, the Court entered an order (the “Confirmation Order”) confirming the Debtors’ Fourth Amended Joint Plan of Affiliated Debtors Pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the “Fourth Amended Plan”), and on November 30, 2009, the Fourth Amended Plan became effective.
